Photo inspired by my desire to get at least three uses out of this $15 mask; this photo is use #2. I tried out the EOS Utility remote shooting software for this shot. I did not find it super simple, but maybe with a bit more practice it will be. Sorry about the creepy left eye.
I'm currently situated in Victoria, having previously lived in Beijing, Halifax, Chilliwack, Calgary, Vancouver and growing up in Northwestern Ontario. My aim with photography is...
now i am curious about this EOS software... hmmm??? well i like the way this turned out (even with a creepy left eye, lol) i really like the shimmery sparkles!
I like how the creepy eye totally changes the mood. It makes it seem like a killing mask. Or maybe I'm just thinking sick thoughts because I just watched an episode of Criminal Minds.
@pwallis ~ Lets you control camera settings with your mouse, and the computer screen becomes the viewfinder. I had trouble focussing (you click arrows to focus either way) though. Photos save right to the computer, rather than on the card.
Now I'm curious about what use #1 was, or dare I ask that? Excellent close-up and count me in for liking the creepy left eye. Adds a different element to the photo for sure.
I usually hate masks - they creep me out... But I love the colour and glitter of this one! Great idea for this series, which - I must say it again - I absolutely love. I'm already thinking what I could shoot as "I am"... must think a bit more on it ;). Oh and thanx for allowing me to steal your idea, I really hope I can actually come up with something ;)
And to think that just a few days ago, you said "Sounds a bit too tech-savvy for me". You still tackled it and figured out it's confusing focusing process. Nice work!
Now, with a little bit of fear and apprehension, I must also ask... What was use #1?
Creepy left eye indeed!
