All images taken at the Port Mouton International Hostel. The hostel is located in the lower level of a former elementary school; some rooms had chalkboards, others had desks. Upstairs, there is an art gallery and flea market. The hostel cats were a special ‘hypoallergenic’ breed and had very pretentious names. Beautiful, though. I think that everything in the boys and girls washrooms upstairs were smaller and lower compared to regular washrooms, but that might just be how I want to remember them.
Apparently, the area was named Port au Mouton by explorer Samuel de Champlain in 1604 because of a sheep-falls-overboard-and-drowns incident.

Very pretty cats. They look as if they know they're designer cats, though. Great idea to turn an old school into a hostel and it's cute that they retained some of the old elements.
that sounds like an interesting place! also glad you added that bit about Samuel de Champlain because i was so excited i recognized the name (from that history book im reading, lol) i like that they have cats. i would stay there, it looks fun!
