I tried vibrant and vintage effects together, but it just looked a little….much. I bought a 50mm f1.8 on the weekend, so this shot is just me testing it out on something simple. It’s a tricky thing, the 50mm. For those who have one, do you usually use it in AF or MF?
I'm currently situated in Victoria, having previously lived in Beijing, Halifax, Chilliwack, Calgary, Vancouver and growing up in Northwestern Ontario. My aim with photography is...
Oooh, I'm seriously leaning towards making that my next purchase! So what do you think? Do you love it?
I love this shot, especially the background and your processing!
And why are you a veritable liar?
Looks beautiful, I like your vintaging on this one. Congrats on the new lens! When I shoot close, I tend to use MF a lot. It is easier to finetune the focus manually. I use AF first to get some focus, then manually do the rest. Same thing with macro shooting.
That was the first lens I purchased for my Rebel. I only use the MF when you taking a pic of something with less definition and the camera has to 'hunt' to focus. Like an all white blooming plant etc., easier and faster just to switch to MF.
@meggageg@russianblue@bobg@janmaki ~ Thanks for the 50mm tips. I don't really trust my eyesight for MF, but it would be better than hearing that 'hunting' sound so much for such close ups!
I love this shot, especially the background and your processing!
