At the Mawio'mi Halifax International PowWow, elaborate regalia was the norm. But since this guy was the only one in full makeup, he instantly became my fave. And he seemed to be a good dancer too...not that I knew what the criteria were, mind you. Using the magnify button, he seems to be looking right at me.
July 4 update: This gentleman is from the Millbrook First Nation, Nova Scotia. And he goes by 'Danny Boy'. I know this now because he was on the front of the Halifax Metro today. Kate was also on the front, but her photo was much smaller.

@shutterbugger ~Actually, everyone was dressed up. He was just the only one with full-face makeup. Some other men had makeup on, but not like this in-your-face style. Maybe meant to frighten enemies....?
