Groupon fun at the harbour #1.

Sorry to post two, especially if you're a hater of the 'same-photo-different-edit' kind of post. Basic edits in Picnik, then applied a Curves preset called "Tri-X 400".
Very cool black and white

Love them both, wow cool. But what the heck is it?

@pwallis ~ This was indeed the 'Paula style' version. Although picnik calls it something else. ;)

@chewyteeth ~ Just zoomy lights.

What did you use in Picnik for this?

@pwallis ~ Light trails not done in Picnik (see next photo comments)....the b&w preset was under advanced edits, then curves.

@jgoldrup that's an adjective I haven't heard used since I was about 7 years old - zoomy. Well its a great picture but I still don't understand, did you zoom-out the camera as you were shooting? Or were the lights moving?

@chewyteeth ~ The first one....zoomed lens during exposure time. Of course, this technique leads to a bit shaky light trails due to the lens movt. I doubt I've ever used the 'word' zoomy!

@jgoldrup I was not even aware of the advanced editing options! Thank you for leading me to them - I made some good use of them today:)
