Resolution #1. by jgoldrup

Resolution #1.

I don't actually make new year's resolutions. Not because I think I'm perfect - because the list would be too long! When I was rinsing out this jar today, I thought to myself: "Man, I really need to stop eating jam like it's going out of style!". Bingo, resolution #1. You might think that my little cupcake and candy issues are more serious than a jam addiction...nah!
I used my wide angle lens to try and achieve the magnitude of such a serious resolution. I'll likely need your support along the way.
Jam is so good! Bet that'll be tough

How did you make everything behind it white?
January 8th, 2012
@chasingwishes ~ Stacey, the window has a white sheer on it, but I also increased the highlights in picnik.

hmmm do you really need to stop doing something you love so much?
great shot tho'!

I'm with Danielle. It's nice to enjoy things. I resolved not to make any resolutions. I love your shot , and I've got your back. I'll eat the jam for you. :-)

@danig @maggie2 ~ I was thinking more 'in moderation', rather than 'never again'. Thanks for your encouragement. ;)

I'm all for moderation....never say never is my motto.

I LOVE this! I'm always seeing things I'd like to do less of...sugar has been one of them...and it is SOOOO hard. But I feel so much better when I'm eating less of it...x Glad you are still in Janna:-)

Noooooo! Not Jam!! I love Jam too. I don't think I could give up raspberry jam. Great magnitude Janna :)

I can see this sign in hospitals and doctor's waiting rooms the world over. No jam allowed. :)
January 8th, 2012
Hmmm. That's a new resolution for me. I've never come across anyone with a jam problem. Good luck with that! On my end, I've gone 3 whole days now without a cigarette!! Kind of want to murder someone right now, but yeah, 3 days!

I made a New Years resolution when I was about 15 - to never make a resolution again - and so far I have stuck to it
January 8th, 2012
Wow, I can't remember the last time I had jam. Maybe I'll make a resolution to eat more of it :)
Cool washed-out photo.

@pwallis - WAY TO GO!!! the first 3 days are the hardest! Jenn is .
quitting too

@shutterbugger - How's the no smoking thing going for you?

@jgoldrup - sorry for the thread-jacking :)
January 8th, 2012
Paula is doing better than I am. Haven't even thought of it yet. Too much going on and I know very well that if I had quit on the 1st, I wouldn't have made it. I have to wait till things are back to normal. Soon, very soon. I'll have to stock up on jam....that will be my smoke replacement ;) Way to go Paula!! @pwallis @onarom @jgoldrup
January 8th, 2012
go for it !
January 8th, 2012
@shutterbugger @onarom Yup the first 3 days suck ASS. But you get that nice feeling of accomplishment and all:) Still going strong - go Jenn go!!!!!
January 8th, 2012
haha good luck!
January 9th, 2012
hahahaha loving it! for me it would be nutella which I had to stop buying for the same reason!
January 9th, 2012
I'm a toast addict - always eat that when stressed. Would't be the same without jam! Good luck to you! :)
January 9th, 2012
@pwallis @shutterbugger @onarom ~ Paula, now that is a real resolution! Yay! Jenn, what about VDay? Roses, chocolate, no cigs....? We'll be here for you both...watching. heehee.
January 9th, 2012
@jgoldrup @onarom @pwallis Gee, I'm sooo glad Dale told everyone my plan. Now I have you guys 'watching' me!! The pressure! Actually Vday would be a good point to start....or maybe even Feb 1st. Paula said that she put herself into lockdown, which is exactly what I'm going to have to do. Someone better put a lock on the fridge!

I thought you guys called it jelly!!
I love jam, for me, up against butter, it's a healthy option. i know sugar, blah blah. you gotta have some treats. Hey do you guys have lemon curd/cheese or is that a UK thing? I love that!
January 12th, 2012
@chewyteeth ~If it has bits of fruit in it, I call it 'jam'...if no bits, I call it 'jelly'. Using 'jelly' to mean any old fruit spread might be more of an American thing...not sure. Very true - much healthy than butter. And we do have a lemon spread, which might be called curd....maybe I'll try it next time...
January 16th, 2012
You ain't tried lemon curd? It's like jam but with butter and eggs in. In other words perfect.
January 16th, 2012
@chewyteeth ~Butter and eggs in jam...hmmm.
January 17th, 2012
@jgoldrup no it's already a day later and you're still procrastinating?? Get out there now, go to the mall and buy lemon curd. Your life will be better, it's the moment in the film where everything becomes colour instead of black and white and you dance giggling down the yellow brick road with all your friends. It's the sweetest, creamiest thing invented ever.
January 17th, 2012
Ha ha, I heart the Jam recipe ads which have picked up on our thread that I can see on your page. yum. Seriously man, eat lemon curd then come and talk to me about it!!!
January 17th, 2012
@chewyteeth ~ Okay, okay, okay. But I was just at the grocery store on Sunday, so it will have to wait. Funny you mention the ads, b/c I've just noticed I don't see any on my own page...I thought I usually did. Not complaining they're absent...
