Are you excited? I was. This was taken at Ait Ben Haddou, an amazing and beautifully preserved ksar (a group of earthen buildings surrounded by high walls; a fortified city) in the Dades Valley/Valley of 1000 Kasbahs. A handful of families still live in the ksar, but most people prefer to live in the 'new' village across the river. Many movies have been filmed at this site throughout the years (Gladiator maybe the most well-known?), likely one reason it is in such great condition.
