On a hike up Deer Mountain, I was rewarded with absolutely no views of the surrounding area due to the heavy mist. But the hike was worth it, as I got some good misty forest shots and a much-needed escape from the cruise ship crowds in downtown Ketchikan, Alaska. By the time I got back down from the mountain, the crowds were gone.
