Volcano visitor.

May 4, 2012 - Not much wildlife was to be found on the hike up to the Sierra Negra volcano. Just some mockingbirds, a hawk or two. The black in the background is the floor of the caldera, covered by lava flows from the latest eruption in Oct. 2005.

That bird looks like it has seen it all, volcano, ash and more ash. I think it may be checking the volcano, again.
