Day 305/365 (16Sep2024)
Mondays, am I right? Just hit me like a runaway train. Meetings. So many meetings. And who needs a lunch break anyway, apparently?
At least there’s that! gestures vaguely at the sky Autumn is here, and those leaves are putting on a whole show. Golden, orange, red... it’s like a giant explosion of colour happened in the trees. Seriously, if I wasn’t staring at my screen all day for work, I might have noticed earlier.
Speaking of screens, guess who got sucked into the vortex of a beautiful sunset while walking home? This goofball, that’s who! Sunsets are like nature’s magic trick, you know? One minute it’s a regular sky, the next it’s a fiery masterpiece. And then there are the churches! So many churches on my walk. Starting to think the universe is sending me a message, but, like, what emoji even represents “get thee to a monastery?”
Oh! And did I mention the house with the giant shiny ball in the front yard? I spent way too long staring at my reflection in that thing. It was like a portal to another dimension, but instead of aliens, I just saw a slightly dazed version of myself.
Anyway, I should probably get back to... something. I had a list of things to do when I got home, but it’s currently MIA. Maybe it’s hiding under a pile of laundry? Or maybe it spontaneously combusted from the sheer force of my Monday brain fog. Who knows!
On the bright side, at least I got some steps in today. And saw some pretty things. And maybe, just maybe, the universe is trying to tell me to slow down and appreciate the little things. Or maybe it’s just messing with me. Either way, I’m here for it.
