Day 307/365 (18Sep2024)
Humpday, the day my brain decided to play a game of tag with itself, and I was “it.” The virtual office was doing its best impression of a sensory deprivation chamber, so I made a break for the park. Armed with zero plans, I set off on a quest for... anything shiny.
Fast forward a few hours, and the sun was playing hide-and-seek. Errand time! But I chose the scenic route, which means I got distracted by every squirrel and interesting leaf.
First up: a phone booth turned defibrillator station. British ingenuity or a public health statement? Either way, it was a bright red beacon in a sea of green.
Next, yoga-master couple. I tried to mimic them, but ended up resembling a pretzel. Note to self: stick to walking.
Shiny red berries! Must investigate! Turns out they belong to a poisonous yew tree. Admiring from a safe distance...
Then, the lake! Swans, ducks, geese – a feathered fiesta! Spent 15 minutes trying to get the perfect swan photo. Spoiler: they’re all perfect.
The lake itself was a masterpiece, reflecting the sky. My photos ended up looking like abstract art. I’ll just call myself a “visionary.”
The bridge! It was begging to be photographed from a weird angle. The result? A picture that looks like it was taken in a parallel universe where gravity has a sense of humour.
Finally, a Himalayan honeysuckle, bursting with grape-like berries. Who knew honeysuckles even grew in the Himalayas? My brain is officially full.
So, there you have it. My afternoon and evening adventure, complete with unexpected detours and beautiful chaos. Just another day in the life of someone whose mind is always on the go.
