5th book of 2013... Great first novel from one of my high school classmates. The story of a young physician's search for a career while trying to heal his past and create a purposeful future... All amidst an environment of a professional conference, a personal relationship with his best friend and his family, and a crazy city with all of it's colorful people and music. He captures the spirit of New Orleans perfectly! I enjoyed his character development and how he intertwined the subplots of a homeless alcoholic and a Tarot card reader with the main story. Great read! I look forward to his next novel!
