Ooo I love this! Great colors! I can't help but see it as a flashback...as if the couple in the chairs are the older version of the adults in the upper right corner and they are thinking about what trips to the beach used to be like! :) Or maybe I should just put down the wine! lol
You are the master! Love this ....love how it looks like two different images, but I am sure it was on the same beach all in one scene. Great processing and colors! sigh!!! Love it....fav
Love this! True jd style and fav! I was wondering how you enhance the colors when everything is so high key style? I've been trying this look but not as successful as yours. Any tips?
Definitely an interesting photo. Your eye goes from seated figure, to umbrella, to family, but the dark chairs bring the focal point back to the seated figure.
Love Laurie's @luvmynynix interpretation of this - I can't possibly see it any other way now that I have read that. Life just always looks good in your part of the world Joey, great shot.
@joysfocus I don't exactly remember the exact steps when I edited this image in (Picasa) but here are the 5 settings I played around with—Auto contrast,saturation,sharpen-tuning-fill light and I think I cropped this shot too:)-Just be easy on the saturation 'tho-'am sorry for not being so "techy" in instructions but if you play"hit or miss" w/ those 5 settings mentioned above- you'll achieve the bright colors while keeping the background in high key effect.--btw,thanks for the fav/ comments and have fun,Joy:)
Oh dear, thanks for the picasa info. I'm always hitting that feeling lucky button. Hey. Question. I lovethis shot for the super focus on both subjects and your ssignature high key. What lens are you using? The title makes it completer. I give it an spf 100 ;)
So the open aperture with the super fast shutter works great to get the focus on the subjects? I see the ISO is 100, which helps too, right? Really impressed with the precision on the group in the background. Thanks you. :)
Im sorry for not being so active here my friend.. but as always.. your work is uniquely touched with your high sense of humor. Thats the thing that I dont have... haha! Take care always!
Great processing - great beach scene as always. This is like looking at a couple's present and future - that's them in years to come settled and with a family.
Love this fading shot, though the relevant details are so well in focus.
I read your processing tips. Once I tried processing with Picasa following yours tips but didn't get the effect I had in mind. I bleached the whole scene whereas here you keep some details well defined (the parasol, for example, while the sea has faded away). It's not at all that easy as you say, I'm afraid. That's your unique signature style, the result of many "hit or miss" trials and great expertise. Plus your natural artistic touch.
