Love this! The reflections look so cool with this processing! I remember embossing in art class with copper foil. It was so much fun. The digital age is quite amazing.
This effect works well in this image, I rather suspect you applied your minimalist techniques first. Particularly like how the large group of 4 are balance by the smaller group of 4.
