a quick history of the smiley face. It was created by artist Harvey Ball of Worcester MA . He was hired by an insurance company to come up with a logo to help boost moral after merging with another company. He was paid $45.00 for his smiley face creation,(unfortunately,he never registered for a copright or trademark 😞) I know this because Harvey is my husband's great Uncle. I never met him,but did know his sister Virginia well. We love the smiley face around here! Fav
