The bits of old buildings in the park are an artwork called “Memory is creation without end” created by Japanese artist Kimio Tsuchiya in 2000 in advance of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.

Thanks. The old bits are from some old demolished buildings years and years ago. Personally, I think it would have been nicer to keep the old buildings.
