Two Life size photos of mid last century Sydney gangsters on the footpath outside the Justice and Police Museum.

This gangster from the 1920s is Raymond Neil, a bit of a nasty guy.

The Justice and Police Museum is a heritage-listed former water police station, lockup, police station, offices and magistrate’s court and courthouse built from 1854 to 1886. The various buildings were closed around 1990 and listed on the Heritage Register in 1997 with the museum opening a few years later.
Sounds like a cool place. Nice POV to capture these gangsters

Great story of the history of the photos. Gangsters are a funny thing, I'm sure they were scary at the time but we do like to romanticize about them

How strange! Is it elevating them to some sort of folk law status? I think your image is very creative and I enjoy that!

I’m fascination by the fact that these have been here for quite a few years yet the graffiti vandals leave them be??
