After nearly 4 years of medical school school and countless more of prep, Marilyn is submitting applications for residency! This is a huge milestone and I'm so proud of her!
As part of your application you're required to submit a headshot. We decided to do it ourselves than paying a professional (sorry Marilyn!)
This has been a huge learning curve... from lighting to posing to editing and it's still not quite finished. This is actually our second try - we weren't happy with the lighting setup, pose, clothing, or hair in the original shot.
There are little things we both wish we'd done better this time around too but overall it's a massive improvement and I think it turned out pretty well! And besides, the submitted photo will only be 525 x 375 px.
I understand your learning curve! I was asked to do some informal pics for an upcoming concert with the vocalist, pianist and violinist. I don't use or have studio lighting, so that made it even more challenging. I think you did a great job here! And Marilyn is lovely- looking very professional too.
