Party in the Snow

I thought the sandhill cranes were going to migrate away, but they are still at the lake, frozen or not.

This was taken using the "Bleach Bypass" filter on my camera for the challenge @30pics4jackiesdiamond gave me. I've always struggled to use this "film simulation" more than any other! I tend to like saturated, contrast-y scenes and it produces images that are anything but.

The birds turned out too dark for my taste so I had to re-apply the filter in Lightroom and tweak them a little.
