Doors with a history! by jokristina

Doors with a history!

The Drake Almshouses were built in 1657 ‘for the relief of 6 poor widows of good repute in the parish’. They are still run as charity housing today.
Great shot, textures, composition

What's behind the blue door - in this shot (not the green door) Interesting to know! Love the wee box hedges - means someone is taking care!

I love doors, too, especially blue ones. Isn't it fun how the two on the end are mirror images.

@seattlite @maggiemae @aikimomm @hermann , thanks for your comments, Phoebe I also liked the mirror image but then the middle door started bothering me that it is not symmetrical!

@jokristina Yeah, they should have put the doorknob in the middle of the door. Ha! (s'OK, though -- I'm not much of one for symmetry any how!)

What a great capture...
I had to look for where these were - I have been down that road a few times, but never seen these. (I may have to remember for next time the work is Blue, Door or Gate...
