Saxa Salt by jon_lip

Saxa Salt

After deciding to make a concerted effort to cut down on our salt intake last year, we thought that we would put the date that we opened the 750g tub of salt. The date was 16th October 2016. We fell just short of a year as I used the last few grains in a salad dressing last night!
Wow, a whole year? Amazing! Ours goes down a lot quicker than that. But I do have the excuse that my Doctor told me to eat more of it as my BP is so naturally ridiculously low. He told me to drink more caffeine too! He said he doesn't get to say that very often.......!! Fascinating to date the tub. I might do that and see how long one actually lasts in our house.

Same here. I imagine it to be challenging to cut back on salt, but your taste buds do adjust with time, don't they? Great idea with the date! I wonder how big/small your container is?

He's fairly modern in his outlook but experienced! I have to say, it does make a difference. I have to be careful or I end up with dizziness and fainting and slurring my speech. Low BP is far less talked about than high BP I find and although it is a far smaller risk for coronary issues, it does mean you have to eat and drink regularly or you start falling over......even when you've been nowhere near the pub!

Oh I see now you said that - oops! Sometimes I rush too much! I decided to take time to either post or browse/comment but not try to do both on the same day! Anyway great job with the salt!!
