We arrived on the banks of the River Arun just as the lifeboat was returning from a shout. A tractor drives down to the water's edge with a trailer infront, so that the lifeboat can manoeuvre onto the trailer. The tractor then reverses back up the riverbank, with two of the lifeboatmen washing the boat and the tractor with hoses to remove all the mud and seawater.
