July 2016-20

I was inspired by http://365project.org/quietpurplehaze/365/2016-07-18 to photograph some of my garden poppies. They are Papavum somniferum or the opium poppy, and come in all sorts of reds, pinks and purples.
UK gardeners don't need a licence to grow them. There are a few farms in southern Britain licensed to grow these to supply the pharmaceutical industry.

I'm so glad I inspired you because this is a delightful shot. Those in the field were such a pale pink that they looked white. And yes, from The Milburys towards Beauworth. I think I've remembered now where you live. If you ever felt like meeting up for a little photoshoot do say..... fav of course!

thank you for all the interesting info.

Really sharp and I love the soft colours and the B&W. Perhaps removing the poppy on the left would improve the composition
