They demolished the old beat-up-looking tar-paper roofed apartments behind my building in East Village San Diego. Unfortunately, they're taking their sweet time in doing so. For the last 2 months I have been awakened to the sounds of demolition almost every morning beginning at 7am. At least they've cleared the ugly piles of scrap wood, old toilets & broken glass. They're going to build more apartments there.
