It is that time in one's life when this terrible event occurs: the first time you receive an invitation to join the AARP. Damn, I must be an old man now.
I just turned 48, but I guess they solicit you early. Their membership age is 50.
I probably will join, but not yet. I hear it'll get me discounts on the early-bird specials at restaurants!
