Miami Vice

Nearly Sunset
(This is the first photo for my Project 365 that I used GIMP for my post-processing. It is a powerful tool, but seemingly intentionally obfuscated. I had to buy a book just to learn how to use this free, Open-Source photo manipulation program.)

Wow! Great shot! I will have to check GIMP out. Although having said that, I have had Photoshop for nine months and I still have only scratched the surface!

Very successful processing, but it's not just the program--it's your eye as well. I thought the same thing about the cancer center photo from earlier this week.

@luvmynynix GIMP is for people who cannot afford Photoshop. It does the same thing. If you have already got Photoshop, you are already driving a Ferrari. GIMP is more of a Mustang. Paintshop Photo Pro is what I have been using for months; it is more of a Toyota Corolla...
If you are interested in GIMP you can download it free from gimp.org | I suggest the book 'The Book of GIMP: A Complete Guide to Nearly Everything' by Oliver Lecarme & Karine Delvare. My research convinced me it was the "Bible" of GIMP.

@cejaanderson Thanks. I was walking to the UPS Store, 3 blocks from my building, and just looked up & saw it & knew it was that day's shot. A lazy bones, I didn't leave the house again yesterday; it was my ONLY shot yesterday....
