The Cars - Panorama

My First Attempt at a Panoramic Shot.
This is 6 shots run through the excellent (and free!) Microsoft Research Image Composite Editor.
I wish I could remember who recommended this tool a couple of weeks ago. I downloaded it then but only installed it tonight. I took the shots today but really didn't think it would work as I kinda shot them off-the-cuff. The documentation for the tool recommends a tripod. I shot these with a point-&-Shoot atop a chainlink fence for support.
It turned out really well, immediately.

Hi John! I am home after over a week with my mother, and it is so good to be able to view your photos again on my big computer screen. This is so interesting, and though I saw it on my cell phone and liked it, it is really nice to see it large. I take so many landscape photos that I should give this a try. I'm glad you have explained that it is not hard. I think much of what you do requires your expert, artistic eye, but if I show my son first, he will be eager to try it and show me.

I regret that I've had to reduce it in size to 20% to post here; it looks so much better when you see it full-size & are able to zoom in to it. Try that free software!
This is a composite of 6 shots. Next time I will only do 3 shots, not quite as wide, see if it translates to the Project 365 page better. It is pretty good for a first try.
This was about a 150-160° arc. I think I'll try 90-100° next time.
I AM curious to see what a full 360° arc shot will look like....
