There's not much to this shot; I just liked the appearance of this Japanese product's packaging.
I recently saw a posting about a new staple-less stapler offered by this company; I went to Amazon & ordered what I thought the posting was about. Actually, this is their older model; it punctures the paper. The new model uses a pinching action.
It was only $12. I may try to get the new one, as well.
I don't need either of them- I just want it because they're cool.
I don't need to keep this one in the packaging, but I like its appearance, so I think I will.

@cejaanderson@aglennc@miata2u@deu49097 Thanks for your comments, y'all. I don't always impulse buy, but I do have an apartment full of crap I don't need, so maybe I do....
@aglennc Right now, around my desk, within arms reach, are the following examples of unnecessary crap: a remote-control helicopter, a Mexican Virgen de Guadalupe prayer candle, a book on creating your own wargames, Frida Kahlo postcards, 'Shakey', a biography of Neil Young, a DVD of Underdog cartoons, this staple-less stapler, a large quantity of art supplies, an old Amazon Kindle, about 15 unused photo frames, old software from the Win98-era, a large bag of homemade tortilla chips, a smaller bag of sweet potato chips, a spare ball for my trackball, a box of collectible R. Crumb "Early Jazz Greats" art cards, and many other items- none of which I needed but I HAD to have.
And apparently, I NEED to have them at hand.
