So interesting! Perhaps some of these things belong to people who are absent, or perhaps she is recently homeless and hasn't been able to let go of some things. It reminds me of my husband's cousin's plight. I don't think he was homeless (though he may have been), but he was murdered in San Diego and left face down in a stream. He was in his 30's and addicted to heroin.
@beth2015@cejaanderson@aglennc I was back at this location a couple of hours later & it was homeless party central. Music & cheap booze & about 5-6 more folks.
@tristansmum@lan@miata2u Perhaps I am too jaded. The streets of San Diego are overrun with the homeless. It is too easy to avoid empathy, claiming overload.
I don't like shooting the homeless. I have not done so in quite awhile. Her having spread out all her stuff over such a large area just grabbed my attention- I shoot what catches my eye. Her scene did just that.
This is oddly fascinating... One (that would be "me") could make so many assumptions..which is what an interesting photo stirs in us... Your follow-up visit is just as interesting as well...
