I'm 12 days behind in processing my photos.
I have still been taking photos daily.
I am so far behind I am unable to catch up over my 2 days off (Tuesdays & Wednesdays), and still live my life.
I plan on continuing to post my photos, regardless of how far behind I am.
I regret not putting time into reviewing the work of my peers here.
Previously, I typically would review everything y'all posted, make comments, and such, then finish by posting my own.
If I got behind, I either just posted my photo & used my days off to get caught up in peer review.
I have been neglectful in that- and I consider that part of participating here. I have learned techniques from others, gotten inspiration for new ideas and suggestions for new tools & references.
I cannot commit to catching up on my photos. That may or may not happen.
However, I will use time on my days off to review the work of my peers, here, whether I am caught up or not.
I apologize for being neglectful in being active within this community.
I strongly suspect that Year 3, of which I am nearly 1/3 of the way into, will be my last here on Project 365.
I guess the greatest reason is that my environs, where I move about, day in, day out, work, etc.- is STFO.
STFO means "Shot the F_ck Out."
I have photographed everything of interest. Occasionally I find some gem, but it is getting to the point where I am shooting something, forgetting that I shot it & posted the same thing 2 years ago.
I have not lost interest in photography.
I have lost interest in meeting a daily requirement.
I knew this when I took my last month off, between Year 2 & Year 3.
I probably should not have begun Year 3.
I want to point my creativity towards painting & Linocut printing.
I really love the comp and pov in this, especially the shadow. Fav for me. Don't feel too bad about getting behind. This is a demanding project, especially the commenting on others' work. I am retired and live alone and can (mostly) choose what I do with my time. I sometimes wonder how those with jobs and/or families manage to carry on with the project, and I hugely honour those who do, including you, John. If you choose to stop because your creativity is pulling you in other directions, I will miss you, but I hope you find much joy and satisfaction in those other directions, and that you always find time to be creative in some way.

Don’t sweat the lagging; been there, survived it… ;-p Post as you feel. It’s your project.
