Diego isn’t usually still or contemplative. At just 22 months old, why would he be? Yet every so often, he slows does and I see that overthinking side of his mother, brother and I appear in him. This photo is one of my most favorite of this 365, shot with my iPhone and not even in portrait mode, it’s all about the lighting (reminiscent of those 16th century Dutch painters) matching his serious expression. It’s pictures like this one that make me wonder what kind of person he will become; what kind of things will stop him and make him think.
