Out of my two children, I often view Diego as far more physical, or at least more physical at this age, than his brother, Justin. But what’s interesting is that I feel I have a lot more action shots of Justin on the move than I do Diego. The reason, I suspect, is that I am the one who isn’t as physical. Nearly seven years have passed since I did Justin’s 365 and back then I moved a lot faster than I did now. In many instances, I find I do not even try to catch Diego when he’s up and running. Instead, I photograph the quieter and still moments. Being outside, however, will provide us with a few more opportunities than being inside all Winter has, so perhaps in these last couple months, we’ll be seeing that more physical side of this very active little boy. And maybe too I’ll get off my lazy butt to keep up with him!
@lynbonn I really agree! I think that definitely is what makes this shot work. The colors all around are muted, but there is enough contrast to draw the eye! Thank you for the comment!
