This is the same door as "Halloween Spirit" from 11-19-11. . . I knew that the owners would change out the wreath for the holiday season.

Oh, I love the sweet simplicity here. So is this selective coloring, or is the barn just that gray color?

I used selective coloring -- the door is a really bad orange/brown color. Both times I have taken pictures of this spot I have changed the color. This door is on Bench Street in Galena - about a block and a half down the street from your picture on 4-19-11!

I adore the contrast - the gray "negative space" gave the pink wreath - the standing ovation.

It looks nice..love the pink reef..tell me what does one need application wise to change the color..you said selective coloring. how??

@bruni I have a Canon SX 30 IS and it has an application called color accent -- I pick the color I want to keep and the camera turns everything else black and white. I don't use it often but this door was a brown/orange color and it looks so much better with black and white. Look for something in your camera manual that talks about color selection - not every camera has it . . . Hope you have it and learn how to use it in 2012!
