I've started taking an interest in the birds that hang around my neighbor's feeders . . . my husband said that this is a blackbird . . . is that right? Anyway, I liked the red buds next to his coloring.
@nilsandcindy I looked up the grackle on google and I think you are right -- this is a grackle. There were a number of these walking around the grass and the description fits. Sounds like they aren't very nice birds, though.
