Wonderful picture! I am also a huge fan of flower pictures, and this one is amazing! I really like the blurred background, and your crisp focus of the foreground.
@svenskaflicka Thanks for the nice comments. There was a brick building in the background with the afternoon sun shining on it. Then there was a lattice work fence a few feet in front of the building and then the bush a few feet in front of that. I stood 4 feet from the bush, focused on the flower and that makes the background blur out. This was shot on AUTO mode . . . once you master the spacing of the flower to the background it is easy to do. I did the same technique with the pictures from the 28th and 31st of this month. Try this -- it is easy to do.
@juletee Thanks so much for the advice! I tend to get really close to my flowers, then set my camera for macro mode and do the rest on the manuel function-but knowing different ways to do something always helps.
