Great colours captured in this. Sorry for being ignorant, but what does the flag represent?

This is a "barn quilt" which have become quite popular again in many states here in the U.S. This one is representing the first U.S. flag - with the 13 stars representing the 13 original colonies. The red and white stripes are cut in a zig-zag which I believe is supposed to make it appear to be waving in the breeze. June 14th is Flag Day here in the U.S. and I felt that this red barn, blue skies and white clouds fit the day's theme perfectly. Thanks for looking and asking - glad to share the information!

My neighbor has a home-made barn quilt on his barn. He made his out of wood. Is this one made of fabric?

The red barn does set off the flag so well. Thanks for the story on the barn quilt. Very informative.

@sabanford This one is also made from wood - I think it is called a quilt because many of the patterns are quilt patterns.
