Found on the lawn at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art - It is one of 4 shuttlecocks in the sculpture garden located in Kansas City MO. This shuttlecock measures 19 feet 2 9/16 inches x 15 feet 11 7/8 inches - I am going to post a picture with some family standing next to it in my album to show the size. Artists are Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen - the same artists of the Spoonbridge and Cherry located in the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden which I photographed and posted in my album on September 4, 2012. I know that there are more sculptures by these artists - now I have to go visit and photograph them.
This picture has an Alice in Wonderland feel to it with the unbelievably large shuttlecock.
