A recent vacation - biking on the Tunnel Hill State Trail in Illinois. It was 9.3 miles to the tunnel and uphill . . . but the ride back was great!

@homeschoolmom This trail is in Southern Illinois (not near the Mississippi) and there aren't many hills there - but I am not a seasoned bike rider so any hill is hard for me - plus I am not young anymore! I live in Northwestern Illinois and we do have many hills in my hometown - even a ski resort that overlooks the Mississippi! My hometown of Galena is beautiful - come visit anytime!
