Surprise on Briggs Road

After not seeing a ring-necked pheasant for years, I saw FIVE today! They were nearly hunted to extinction around 30 years ago, and are slowly making a comeback. Incredibly difficult to get a good photo because they're so canny and skittish, but I did my best. I was happy to see them, anyway!
