I think I'm getting a little better at capturing bees in flight. Still need practice, but am further along than I was a year ago. My challenge is getting the little sweeties in focus. Any suggestions? Or, is it mostly luck? (I used autofocus on these, focused on the bee, then waited until she flew to press the shutter release.) Thanks for your help!
Beautiful images, Julie! I've had some luck photographing bees in the past by setting my camera on "Continuous" aka "Burst Mode" so that it will fire off a lot of shots and increase my chances of getting a keeper. I also set the autofocus mode to AF-C so that the camera continually focuses on the bee while the bee moves about. I'm certainly no expert; but those things have helped me, so I thought I'd share them since you asked for suggestions. Good luck and have fun! :-)
