High Rollway

In the late 1800's, lumberjacks would roll thousands of tree-length logs down this 200' embankment into the Manistee River as a way of getting them to the sawmill. This was done in the winter; then in the spring some poor souls would have the job of removing strategic logs so that the whole pile would tumble into the river. Fun times!
