Chanterelle, False Chanterelle, or Jack-O-Lantern? by juliedduncan

Chanterelle, False Chanterelle, or Jack-O-Lantern?

I didn't know for sure, so I left them alone. At any rate, the critters had already gotten to them. :)
I wonder what the critters use as a guide book, or if any took a bite of the wrong ones!

I'd say chanterelle. But who am I to know?! I'd have left them too, rather than risk it.

@jamibann Yes, I looked it up when I got home. You can cut them open to find out - white means chanterelle. :)
