@homeschoolmom Yes! She was resting in the grass in the woods and stood up as I was walking by. She was only about fifteen feet away from me! The only uneasiness she showed was that she stamped her front foot a few times as if to frighten me off. AS IF! We stared at each other for about 5 minutes as I snapped some pictures and she nibbled a few mouthfuls of grass. Then, she calmly sauntered off into the woods. Fantastic experience! :)
@juliedduncan Don't get any closer, they have really sharp hooves. That's why she was stamping her hoof, to let you know she has sharp hooves and knows how to use them! LOL!
@juliedduncan My husband was leaning against a tree in the woods one hunting season and a doe walked right past him (he was wearing no-scent clothing, so she had no idea he was there). He almost reached out and touched her as she went by, then thought he'd better no. He was way out in the woods and it was a long walk back to his vehicle even without injuries! LOL!
