No Chlorophyll Needed

Stumbled upon this rarely seen plant yesterday on our walk in the woods; Indian Pipe. It is a plant that does not nourish itself via photosynthesis as it has no chlorophyll. Instead, it feeds from particular fungi that in turn feed from particular trees. Amazing!

Thanks for the information and link to the video. It was really interesting. Even though I’ve heard the name Indian Pipe, I had no idea really what it was.
