Ice stock sport

Went Eisstockschießen with friends today. That's a traditional Southern German winter sport, but I never tried it before since we live in the North.
More info about it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ice_stock_sport
I didn't play since we were nine and wanted fair teams, so one couldn't participate. Also, I didn't really want to play. Instead I took photos. A perfect opportunity to try serial shots and motion blur! :)
Very nice composition. I really like the way you captured the motion blur in the curling stone. That's a very nice touch and it adds an interesting dynamic to the photo. Now for a side bit of trivia. LOL In the 1980 Winter Olympics, the US played Norway in hockey in the second game of the first round. The game was at 13:00, though, and because nobody thought the US stood a chance at a medal, the game was not televised live. What outraged hockey fans in the US, though, was that instead of showing the US vs Norway hockey game, they televised Curling - a sport almost nobody in the US had ever heard of before then.

@justaspark I just received a geocaching notification! One of my travel bugs - "Little Rhody Red" - has been placed in a cache in Germany! LOL I thought of you immediately since you're the only 365er I know from there. It's not really near you, though. According to the log report, it's in a cache in Sachsen. This is my travel bug: http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=3135036&page=1

@kannafoot Ahh, cool! :)
If the coin ever comes to NRW or Niedersachsen, tell me, maybe I can visit it :P

We missed this sport! LOL! Too busy travelling, I guess. Plus, the last year we were there, the winter was so mild, there wasn't even enough snow to ski in the Alps. Only ski resorts open were on the glaciers.

Hi Jule. Well I've taken a look through all your images since you began. Your close ups seem to be stronger and I also liked your monochromes. How about making a white or black background (paper, fabric perhaps)and creating an image with just 3 related objects. Will that work for you?

By the way, the objects can be anything and any colour. Decide about the depth of field. Small value eg. 5.6 will give a narrow range of focus, whereas big value eg. 20 will give focus from back to front.

@agentzuckerguss danke :)
@homeschoolmom well, for this kind of sport you don't even need ice, so idk why the fuck it's a winter sport :D It's played on a flat floor, idk how it's called. And I hadn't tried it too, until yesterday :D
