I think I'm half German and half British.
Like I'm officially German, have the German citizenship, but I feel way more attracted to the UK. It's hard for me to say "I'm German" to someone who asks me where I'm from, because I don't feel like I am. There's somehing about England that always fascinated me and make me feel connected with it, and it will continue to do, even if no Brit will probably ever understand me :D
Really nice processing, Jule! Love the concept. You know, what's interesting is that the concept of nationality is somewhat unique here in the States. Ask us "what nationality are you" and almost nobody will respond "American." Everyone identifies with their ancestral country of origin even if it's been 6 generations since the family lived there! My mom was 3rd Generation American, but ask her what she was and she'd always respond "Italian." Same with my dad. He would say, "Portuguese" even though his mother's side of the family was British and came to the US in the early 1600s. We're an odd breed, we Americans!

Btw, my friend is American (born in Texas I think) and if you ask HER about her nationality she will tell you that because here it's something unique :D
