I wrote this in the sand today, it was meant ironically. :p
Today we drove 3 hours down into the Camargue, to the sea. It was the birthday of one of us and he was there as a kid so he wanted to go again, but in the last 30 years it became a totally ugly campsite with thousands of tents and camping wagons and everything was very grey and dirty. Picture in my 2nd album is up to give you a better view.
So this was a flop, on the way back we went to Arles city which was ok and saw some flamingos but I decided to upload this picture to remember such a day and beach. :D
This is so true of so many places I visited when I was young...it's sad to see what was once beautiful go wrong with time....the good thing is to take photos while you're young to hold on to those memories!
I often wonder if the places we remember have changed or if our memory just makes them seem so much nicer than they really are. Anyway, I like how you composed this one. So far, it sounds like you're having a great vacation even without the ugly beach!
Hi Jule,
Looks like we are paired up for this week's push, I would like to see you "Fill the frame" with one color and only one color. Good luck!!!!
Cheers
@linnypinny@kannafoot Good thoughts you two... I wonder the same.. For example there's the primary school I spent my first two years in, but in May of 3rd Grade we had to move out into another buding because there was asbestos in the walls. Back then, we all found the school great and were sad to leave, but when we drive past it now, it looks so grey and boring... That's quite the same with that :(
BTW, that reminds me I wanted to take pictures of the building :D
Ich sag mal so ... wenn die Sonne scheint sieht ja alles schöner aus. Aber wenn man etwas schöner in Erinnerung hat ... dann ist man natürlich derbe enttäuscht.
