It ends how it started! So 365 days ago, on 23rd of September 2013, I posted my first picture on this site. A mug and a plate with a German cake called Schweineöhrchen. In sepia, because I thought this was cool. :D (To my defense: I was ill that day!) Today I’m not ill and the picture is not sepia… and the cake is eaten up (well, almost) and the mug is empty – one year later! And I really managed to post a picture a day, of course I had my bad phases but mostly this was so much fun!
To clear the most important question first: Of course I will continue in Year 2! In year 1 I’ve used a few fillers so my aim for this year is a fillerless round! Let’s see whether this will work out but I already have a lot of creative picture ideas :p But you know, the 23rd of September is a strange day to start so I will re-start taking a pic a day on October 1st and until then upload some oldies (that I took LONG before starting 365) under the tag “oldieweek”
So I really did it! It feels like yesterday that I started and I can still recreate that excited feeling I had back then… But a year has gone by (I really can’t believe this is pic 365, it still feels so far away!) and I’m really grateful for all of you and your lovely comments and favs! I even managed to get to PP twice and TP even four times! Huge success for a 12-13 year old girl I think (: I think my understanding for photography and my eye really developed a lot and I’ve made a lot of friends over here, from my own country (Germany) to all parts of the world! I’ve found a great way to build a “diary” of what I’ve done this year – my moods, feelings, trips…
Thanks to everyone who ever commented, viewed or fav’d a picture of mine! Thanks to everyone who supported me even on bad pictures! Thanks to my lovely real life friends and family for not being annoyed and being on my pictures – sometimes voluntary and sometimes not :D
Here’s to a bunch of more years!!

Congrats JULES! Glad I was part of the ride. It's been fun seeing your pictures, traveling along with you. Have fun, and keep posting. In my second year I am definitely going to post more of my favorites that never got a chance to see the light of day! So, you should too. Then, instead of specifically taking a photo a day, why not work on a project or theme for the week? Black and white, night time/long exposure, macro, primary colors, in camera filter/edits, shoot from the hip blind, all the fun stuff, and see if it changes through the week? I'll keep following you.
