Almost finished, round 2 by jyokota

Almost finished, round 2

Taffy's comment yesterday inspired me to try photographing my knitting project again. I focused on the foreground and let the back blur to give the sense of "unfinishedness". Now real knitters will find this photo unsettling -- because the needles don't have any stitches on them. It's because I'm knitting on circular metal needles that were distractingly bright when photographed so I had to take artistic license and put my rosewood needles in the photo as props. One thing I notice is that when the focus is moved to the front, the background is hard to identify as unfinished balls of yarn.
Love the needles in the back!

Great photograph! I like this version a lot and the needles add interest.

ONe more thought...what if you increased the bokeh around the needles and did something that enlarges the view of the ball of yarn?

Love this! As a fellow knitter I am now going to follow you!! I have just received, through the post, some circular rose-wood needles today for a project I am doing - they are really beautiful!
