Opera's Nerve Center

. . . and it was right there, within reach during the intermission. What if I (or anyone else walking by) turned it to a different page? Or what if someone took a red pencil and made additional markings? Or what if someone took it away as a souvenir?

The lead tenor, Victor Campos Leal, sang the role of Alfredo in Verdi's Traviata splendidly and is surely headed for a big career! I met him on a train dining car from Frankfurt (Oder) to Berlin, and he was flying to Vienna for a voice lesson. He invited me to hear him sing to hear the result.

Good thing I took the train to the right city -- I had no idea that Breslau = Wrocław. I kept trying to buy a ticket to "rock-law" and the German ticket seller told me I wanted to go to Breslau. I was so confused. Before the end of WWII, Wrocław was part of Germany and called Breslau.
GREAT capture!! I can't believe you were that close! I like your choice of framing -- very balanced and interesting.
